Jumping between your CRM and your email client is not only a pain, it’s a huge waste of time. And let’s face it, time is valuable. So today we’ve taken the first step towards alleviating this struggle.
You can now send emails from Base, using ANY email address. That’s right, you heard us. ANY email address. For example, if you use Outlook, Verizon webmail, or any internet service provider’s email service, you can now send email directly from Base as if it were from your regular email client.
How to set up your own email integration with Base
To get set up, you will need to enter a couple server details once. Head over to the Settings page, and click Email to get started. If you previously set up a different email account with Base, say Gmail for example, you will have to disconnect it first. From the email page in the Settings, click Other and you will be asked for your email login details, your SMTP server and your SMTP port.
- Most SMTP server addresses are structured as smtp.youremail.com or mail.youremail.com. If you’re not sure what your address is, you can usually find it with a quick Google search “smtp email provider name”
- The most common ports used for SMTP are 25, 80, 3535, and 465, but yours may be different
