Actions Speak Louder Than Words

At Base, we believe that actions speak louder than words. That’s why we’re stoked about the amazing new features we’ve been adding to Base over the past month.

From managing and organizing leads to tracking sales goals, through to a much-anticipated Outlook plugin, our aim with each feature was to make our customers and their teams 10x more productive. On top of that, we finished off the month with our new Voice experience that allows our customers to make, receive, log and record calls while pairing with insightful call reports to optimize sales processes—all within Base. It’s truly amazing. If you haven’t yet, please give it a try and tell us what you think.

Over the last several weeks I’ve spoken with many customers, partners and CRM industry veterans. I’ve had many of those discussions before, but this time, it was different. Across the board everyone agreed that there’s a fundamental problem with CRM systems. Simply put, people hate them and the reason is pretty obvious. People have to put in a lot of effort into using a CRM and they get very little value in return.

If you take a closer look at each of the new features in Base, you’ll see a pattern. They are all designed to minimize effort and maximize value gained from using our CRM. I believe that’s what really sets Base apart from the pack.

Every person I spoke with agreed that the CRM space is ripe for disruption and that Base is paving the way:

  • We are building a product that is an order of magnitude better than anything else you will find in the market.
  • We are investing most of our resources in research and development.

Why is this important to you and our other customers? Because, in our heart, Base is and always will be a customer-focused company. Every feature and improvement is 100% focused on our customers. We rapidly innovate so that our customers can reap the benefits faster and our sole focus is to make you—our customer—and your teams 10x more productive with the easiest and most innovative CRM in the market, Base.

I have never been a patient person and looking at the Base roadmap makes me even less so — I can’t wait until you try what we have in store for you! If you thought the recent additions to Base were great, then what’s coming next will blow your mind.

Thanks for being a Base customer.
If you are not a customer yet, give Base a try. You won’t regret it.

Uzi,
Base Founder and CEO

    Hey Samuel,

This isn’t on the roadmap at the moment, but it doesn’t mean you won’t see it. I encourage you to add this suggestion to our idea board ( http://futuresimple.uservoice.com). We’re constantly listening to our customers to see how we can make them more productive.

    Thanks for sharing!

Will the outlook plug in search and pull all contact emails sent and received from any team member within an organization?
Allowing a user to pull the client contact up and see every correspondence that has occured.
A great feature in Goldmine that lets you validate commitments on both ends, communications, etc.

Also, a notes section for keeping personal motes on a contact, spouse name, children, likes, hobbies, etc from discussions. Great way to maximize relationships and express interest in the personal relationship as well as the business relationship.

      Hey JD,

The Outlook plugin gives you the ability to attach incoming and outgoing emails to Base contacts. The full email sync with auto-sort pulls all previous conversations. Emails your teammates send are only visible if they convert the private emails to a note.

We do include notes for each contact, lead and deal. You can add a note from the web or any of the mobile devices. This is great way to maintain both a personal and professional relationship.
